L' 'articolo' nel trattato slavo Sulle otto parti del discorso

In this paper the authoress examins the section dedicated to the 'Article' in the 14th Century Slavonic Treatise On the Eight Parts of Speech and compares this section of the treatise with the corresponding section of Greek grammars. From this she deduces that the section examined is a 'conscious' adaptation of the Greek theory of the 'Article' to the characteristics of Church-Slavonic language. Therefore she shows that the incongruences in the text, traditionally ascribed to the lack of skill of the Slavonic translator in putting together material taken from diverse sources have a coherence of their own. On the base of these findings, this section of the treatise is compared with the corresponding sections of later grammars: the authoress verifies the concordance and variants and in this way underlines the role played by the treatise On the Eight Parts of Speech in the later development of grammatical tradition

L'autrice esamina la sezione dedicata all' 'articolo' nel trattato slavo del XIV secolo Sulle otto parti del discorso. In particolare essa è confrontata con la corrispondente sezione nelle grammatiche greche. Se ne deduce che sia una consapevole rielaborazione della teoria greca dell''Articolo' adattata alle caratteristiche della lingua slavo-ecclesiastica. Le incongruenze del testo, tradizionalmente attribuite al manchevolezze del traduttore slavo nel mettere insieme materiale preso da diverse fonti, non sono tali ma hanno invece una coerenza interna. Su questa base, la sezione del trattato in questione è confrontata con le corrispondenti sezioni di grammatiche più tarde (Adelphotes, Zizanij e Smotrickij) per mostrare il ruolo giocato dal trattato sulle otto parti del discorso nella tradizione grammaticale successiva
