Rome, the Bastion of the Colonnella, historical and conservation notes (Antonio da Sangallo il Giovane)

Here we can see how across the payment mandates for the works of the fortifications in Rome, kept in the Archivio di Stato and in part published by Rocchi, it is possible to reconstruct the events for the construction and the interruption of the Bastion of the Colonella. The aim of this contribute is the direct recognition and the elevation of the construction that Calogero Bellanca has done to read some of the characters descrived. And to give notice of the details as “spina di pesce”, measured in a traditional survey, according to the Renaissance system used by Antonio da Sangallo il Giovane.
