Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic is affecting areas all over Italy and nations worldwide in different ways, which makes it difficult to find answers to the many questions that citizens and experts have asked themselves. The information made available provides an account of the emergence and spread of infections, with various outcomes, but this data does not allow us to control the pandemic, nor its actual lethality. To understand more, an interdisciplinary approach involving virologists, immunologists, epidemiologists, physicists, mathematicians, statisticians and economists and a strong inter-institutional collaboration is needed. Sample surveys on the spread of contagion represent an important part of an observation and monitoring system. The presence of improvised decisions not supported by scientific evidence, the allergy to the organizational aspects of proposed solutions, the impatience of production sectors (and of the population) leave us with strong uncertainty.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
