This is in fact a two-volume work: the first is a biography, the second an account of the intellectual journey of more than a generation of economists who have taken inspiration from Pasinetti’s work and have been following in his path for over half a century. Thus it is an account of a choral rather than solo performance, although of course the dominant voice is Pasinetti’s.
