Elena and Fátima: the contrast between two women in El bastardo de Ceuta by Juan Grajales Published in the volume Flor de las comedias de España de diferentes autores (Alcalá, 1615) –later known as the Quinta parte of the comedias by Lope de Vega–, the comedy El Bastardo de Ceuta by licenciado Juan Grajales proposes an honor play with two female figures, Elena and Fátima, who live parallel lives but with a different ending, due to the diversity of their religion, since the first is Christian and the second is Muslim.
