Coastland is a place of transition between terrestrial and marine ecosystems and, because of its high biodiversity, is a strong producer of ecosystem services, essential for the construction of a new welfare. Along the Roman coast, the anthropic pressure due to the proximity to the city, strongly affects natural and cultural capital in terms of conservation, valorisation and fruition, as in terms of risk prevention. This particular environment, stratified over the centuries along with the shoreline progression, stimulates a reflection on ecosystem-based approaches for sustainable regeneration.

Abstract
Coastland is a place of transition between terrestrial and marine ecosystems and, because of its high biodiversity, is a strong producer of ecosystem services, essential for the construction of a new welfare. Along the Roman coast, the anthropic pressure due to the proximity to the city, strongly affects natural and cultural capital in terms of conservation, valorisation and fruition, as in terms of risk prevention. This particular environment, stratified over the centuries along with the shoreline progression, stimulates a reflection on ecosystem-based approaches for sustainable regeneration.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
