The article focuses on the theme of vituperatio in vetulam throughout the centuries, from the classical age to the Golden Age of Spanish literature. It studies a sonnet contained in a Spanish poetry manuscript Cancionero of the Accademia dei Lincei in Rome (signature: Corsini 970). Besides a thematic analysis, the paper examines also formal and linguistic aspects.
