The truncus of Priam in Virgil alluded to the death of Pompey, and the truncus of Pompey in Lucan alludes to that of Priam. Agamemnon, in the homonymous tragedy by Seneca, is beheaded, unlike in the Sophoclean model, and also this description (perhaps inspired by Lucan) seems to allude to the two most celebrated bodies.
