Abstract
To review a book on quaestiones Naturales of Seneca. The A. locates in moralistic digressions, in the preface that enhance the contemplative life, in the section on Flood and elsewhere so many proofs of Seneca's Platonism, namely the justification of withdrawal nell'otium as the only way of escape from tyranny. The position that emerges from a reading of the text does not seem clearly oriented in this direction remains constant exhortation to fight, even if only in thought and word, against oppression, the reasons 'platonic' are quite common places of thought philosophical.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
