Abstract

The design criteria of powers systems for critical loads has to guarantee their continuous availability. This paper suggests modules of system as reference topologies for data centers, recommending at least a dual-connected utility supply. These modules of system aim to guarantee the service continuity of the loads and, in particular, of the critical loads. The introduced resilience codes for topology integrity TIR and integrity levels ILR represent an index of the system complexity and a numerical codification of service restoration against maintenance exigencies, faults and utility outages at every distribution level. For a resilient supplying system of all the mission critical systems, the goal is to maintain the service continuity of the loads and to restore the outages of the utility supply limiting the operation of engine generators and uninterruptible power supply at the shortest transient duration. The management staff is an essential completion to the integrity resilience. The paper deals with a case study of a very important data center to analyze some details for the service continuity on the performances by design
