Il trattamento dell’aspetto verbale nei dizionari italiano-ceco

The compilation of the Italian-Czech section of the Dizionario compatto Ceco involved analysis of the features of the aspect category and consideration of the strategies used to indicate aspectual pairs in Italian-Czech lexicographic works. The present article first explains the reasons why Italian-Czech dictionaries published so far bear no aspectual indications (lexicalist perspective). It then proceeds to clarify the Dizionario compatto Ceco approach (paradigmatic perspective) whereby aspectual pairs are instead systematically included. Illustration of the strategies here adopted in identifying correct pairs (non-problematic cases: pure pairs, monoaspectual verbs, biaspectual verbs, frequency) is given at the end.
