Planning for the knowledge, conservation and optimisation of cultural heritage

The integrated knowledge of the asset and its context is one of the main objectives to be achieved, as optimisation cannot be considered separately from protection. Knowledge, conservation and optimisation are demands seen in action taken directly on the cultural heritage; action that can be translated into: preserving, integrating and strengthening. GIS is an extremely important tool for the integration of data; data that is exceedingly diversified because it meets the diversified concept of cultural heritage that has today been established. And for GIS to provide an effective answer to the integration of the action necessary for the optimisation of cultural heritage to constitute an effective way by which to preserve this wealth.
