Abstract
The detection of iron capitals that decorate the Ballroom of Villa Blanc on Main Street in Rome, the result of a process of industrial prefabrication, have provided experience in order to implement synchronous detection by applying the same object several architectural methodologies operating, in order to investigate the potential offered by each of them. We have implemented both through procedures of direct relief, with its graphical depiction traditional return and modeling in CAD, as well as the procedures of relief through acquisition with laser scanner Non-Contact 3D Digitizer Minolta mod. Vivid 700 and subsequent numerical modeling. The primary objective of the trial was the direct comparison between the different methodologies used and results obtained therefrom on the same object at the same time. The synchrony in the conduct of the various operations of detection was considered as a condition by rigorous scientific point of view, as it has allowed you to enable shooting in the "same time", with the same players and technical practical conditions constant. The capitals of Villa Blanc have not been used as laboratory rats, but we tried to read them on the basis of design thinking and cultural Giacomo Boni, who has thought about the values, along with the Morani and Adolfo De Carolis, interpreting the theme of "nature.
