The nonlocal optical solitons were investigated in highly nonlocal nonlinear medium (HNNM) in nematic liquid crystals. The beam dynamics was determined by ratio between input and soliton power with propagation of narrow-waist solitary waves (SW) inspite of inherent limits of paraxial analysis in small-oscillation approximation. The LC system behaved as graded-index lens in which pitch depended on beam peak intensity. The nematic LC was regarded as HNNM which sustained highly nonlocal solitary waves and helped in development of nonparaxial nonlinear models in optical soliton propagation.

Abstract
The nonlocal optical solitons were investigated in highly nonlocal nonlinear medium (HNNM) in nematic liquid crystals. The beam dynamics was determined by ratio between input and soliton power with propagation of narrow-waist solitary waves (SW) inspite of inherent limits of paraxial analysis in small-oscillation approximation. The LC system behaved as graded-index lens in which pitch depended on beam peak intensity. The nematic LC was regarded as HNNM which sustained highly nonlocal solitary waves and helped in development of nonparaxial nonlinear models in optical soliton propagation.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
