This paper offers a first step within a comprehensive research project on the French humanist Pierre Morin (1531-1603) as well as on his rich library, which is currently held at the Biblioteca Vallicelliana in Rome. The book collection allows a retracing of Morin's bibliographical profile, thus providing firsthand insight into sixteenth-century book culture at the time of the Counter-Reformation.
