A new parsimonious model to cluster mixed-type of data is presented. Continuous and ordinal data are modeled by a mixture of Gaussians partially observed. To be parsimonious, it is used a reparameterization of the covariance matrices of the multivariate Gaussians. This permits to control for the number of parameters and simplifies the interpretation of the results.
