Il carattere multifunzionale della ripetizione fra regolarità e anomalie. Uno studio applicato all’Israelkorpus

The present study intends to investigate the different functions of repetition in a distinctly pragmatic perspective by empirically analysing a series of interviews collected in the Israel- Korpus with in the project “Deutschsprachige Emigranten in Israel” coordinated by Anne Betten. After a brief theoretical overview of the relevant linguistic phenomenon and discussing its main functions in the context of spoken language, this paper proposes a categorisation of the numerous repetitive functions in the above mentioned corpus supported by a qualitative and quantitative analysis. The critical reflection on the proposed taxonomy indicates the multifunctionality of repetition, not only in a paradigmatic sense but also in a syntagmatic sense.
