It now belongs to common sense, as well as to administrative law, the concept of legacy that within the cultural heritage is both the object and the matrix of a particular form of design that tends to protect or restore in the physical space new or lost qualitiesover time. In this direction the International Council of Monuments and Sites has recently published the European Quality Principles for EU-funded Interventions with Potential Impact upon Cultural Heritage (ICOMOS 2019), as solicitation for all beneficiary countries of European funding to observe quality principles shared in cultural heritage conservation and management projects.
