The classification of package travel contract, legal and economic issues

The package travel contract is ranked in the group of atypical contracts, which has finally been regulated in the Albanian legislation as well. As a new contract, doctrinal issues related to its legal classification and economic impact are of particular importance to the study. In this sense, this article aims to clarify as far as possible some aspects of the package travel contract classification. In this paper, special consideration will be given to the legal regulation of package travel contracts in accordance with acquis communautarium. We estimate that the study will be important to understand the place of package travel contract in Albanian legislation and to define some terms of this contract as part of the contract theory. The methodology selected for this paper includes the method of theoretical analysis and also the the analysis of international legal framework in this field. The reflection of academic and scientific opinion are an important part of this paper. We consider that the theme presents a special interest in the development of academic thought in this field and helps redesigning the problems faced in this field.
