Società della conoscenza. Coordinate ideologiche e presupposti strutturali

This paper aims to investigate the definition of knowledge society critically. The analysis pays attention to the relationship between change of social structure and the shift from fordist and keynesian regulation to neoliberalism. This kind of analysis leads to identify the ambivalent role of razionalization and intel-lectualization in modern societies, especially with regard to the spreading of knowledge workers. On the opposite of meanstream thought, these last ones are members of a new middle class, characterized by a potential power of social emancipation and at the same time by subalternity to neoliberalism. This analy-sis makes we avoid the mistakes which new classification of professions and more in general dominant ideology tend to led to.
