Abstract
We read the paper by Li and colleagues,1 aiming to explore the clinical significance of the BRAF p.V600E mutation in a preoperative setting, as an aid to decision‐making. In order to improve the preoperative diagnostic classification of the nodules, it has been performed BRAF p. V600E mutational analysis using amplification refractory mutation system‐quantitative real‐time polymerase chain reaction (ARMS‐PCR) technology on samples obtained from fine‐needle aspiration biopsies. Their results are somewhat unexpected and thought‐provoking, but some critical issues should be highlighted before applying their results to clinical practice.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
