Abstract
Damascus, 1900. The discovery of 150 sacks of manuscripts inside the Dome of the Treasury (al-Khazna Qubbat) of the Great Umayyad Mosque is an episode forgotten by scholars. The contribution therefore sheds light on the discovery of a huge mass of fragments multilingual (latin, greek, Syriac, Armenian, Hebrew, Arabic ...), which over time have been transported partly in Istanbul, another part remained instead in Syria - at the National Museum (Damascus). An analysis of the mass of documentary greek and latin (ed. P. Radiciotti) precedes the ilustrazione palaeographic of some ancient Koranic sheets (edited by A. D'Ottone). Damascus, 1900. The find of 150 sacks of manuscript fragments in the Qubbat al-Khazna of the Umayyad Great Mosque is a discovery almost forgotten. The paper sheds light on this important multilingual find (the fragments are actually in Latin, Greek, Armenian, Hebrew, Arabic, ...) Part of Which Was Transferred to Istanbul (Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts) and part Remained in Damascus (National Museum ). A detailed analysis of the material in Greek and Latin by P. Radiciotti) is Followed by paleographic to comment on some Qur'anic ancient parchment folios (by A.
