Disruptive Technology Trends and Venture Capital Investment Decision Making on Smart Building Startups

The decision-making process in venture capital investment is almost affected by two main criteria of complexity and uncertainty. Considering the emergence of disruptive high-tech technologies and the regarding start-ups, VCs need to follow accurate and integrated decision-making criteria on the variety of investment types. This paper studies the VCs criteria on choosing an innovative start-up to invest in and limit itself to the high-tech start-ups which are active in the architecture and built environment category.
