Beginning with the present issue, the Reviews & Overviews section of the JMG has two new Editors. We assume ours to be an interesting and challenging task. Our primary concern is to make the Reviews & Overviews section something useful to researchers involved in the areas and issues encompassed in the Journal’s Aims & Scope. More modestly, but in the same direction, we believe that also a Reviews & Overviews section of an academic journal should be useful. Hence, it should offer to readers a useful and ‘‘actionable’’ picture of emerging themes relevant to its Aims & Scope.
