The "renewed" Rome during the French domain has an undisputed protagonist in Giuseppe Valadier, as the architect of design of new urban spaces. This paper focuses on the planner, who in his urban projects has combined the valorisation of places, to new urban arrangements that combined with nature created scenographic artifices.
