The study here presented gives an account of two of the major innovations relative to the perspective of the SR. One is tied to the analysis of the role played by the mass media and the other concerns the main use of the free associations technique to “stimulus-words” for the exploration of representations of socially relevant objects. The specific objective of our work was to contribute to and make up for this partial lack of attention, by a study on representations of nature and environment among Italian student.
