Abstract
The 1950s brought the diffusion of mass tourism in Italy; this moment has been considered as an ideal passage from the ruins of the World War II to the Italian economic miracle. The perception of the country's economic and social transformation led to a new cinematographic image of Italy, in which tourist stereotypes were strenghtened. From the late '40s, more than fourty films were shot: the success of this unique genre focused on the holidays, with its iconographic and thematic topoi, shows the evolution of both the Italian cinema and society froom the Neorealism to the Italian comedy and from the Reconstruction to an Affluent society.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
