International shows very often represent a great showcase for the host country, but also gives the possibility to create new buildings as a simbol of the city. With the proclamation of the winner of the Italy Pavilion at the Expo 2015 in Milan, the article get some questions about the quality of exhibition buildings, briefly retracing some examples. It highlights the difficulty, all italian, to seize opportunities, having the approval of the languages within the architectural debate introduced by the competition.
