In this work we briefly describe a technique to define second order finite volume schemes on non uniform cartesian grids. The purpose is to couple this scheme with an error indicator to drive mesh adaptivity. In this context, it is crucial that the underlying scheme uses a very compact stencil. Here we illustrate an algorithm that matches this goal, without giving up accuracy, while relaying on a non oscillatory reconstruction.

Abstract
In this work we briefly describe a technique to define second order finite volume schemes on non uniform cartesian grids. The purpose is to couple this scheme with an error indicator to drive mesh adaptivity. In this context, it is crucial that the underlying scheme uses a very compact stencil. Here we illustrate an algorithm that matches this goal, without giving up accuracy, while relaying on a non oscillatory reconstruction.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
