The disinfection power of the mixture was higher than that showed by hydrogen peroxide, used as the reference compound.

Abstract
Caro's acid triple salt (Oxone) constituted by potassium monopersulfate, potassium hydrogen sulfate and potassium sulfate, is used as a swimming pool disinfectant and, when mixed with chloride, in the sanitation of baby diapers. The chemical equilibria in water of Oxone and its synergistic action with surface-active agents were studied. The mixture constituted by Oxone and sodium laurylsulfate gave the best results. showing that its antibacterial activity derived from a synergistic action of the two components. The disinfection power of the mixture was higher than that showed by hydrogen peroxide, used as the reference compound.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
