Il PRG '08 del Comune di Roma

The current PRG of the City of Rome is an emblematic case of experimentation, anticipation, confluence and actualization of the most significant elements of disciplinary elaboration of the last twenty years, which has prefigured a new process-based approach, integrated and interscalar, to urban regeneration and territorial rebalancing, through the experimentation of tools, procedures and implementation mechanisms. In this context, the Plan attributes a fundamental role to History, which concretizes one of the five priority options to project “Rome into the new millennium”. Therefore, the PRG declines a new conception of history, putting in place a model that, in order to pursue quality objectives, in the concrete management, sets up three traditionally alternative approaches: a prescriptive regulatory approach, a management regulatory approach, and a comprehensive programmatic approach.
