Interior design is a multi-faceted activity in which creative and technical solutions are applied within a structure to achieve an interior environment that observes requirements of the client. In this paper we describe our approach to aid the interaction between consumers and professional designer during the design process. We discuss a methodology based on a clear separation between several activities in which we underline the usefulness of application of matching recognition techniques derives from digital image elaboration world.
