Facing its complexity, the Bolognetti Chapel in Rome (1738-42) – no longer existing due to the twentieth century enlargement of the Nomentana street – was one of the most interesting works carried out by Nicola Salvi (1697-1751) after the Trevi Fountain. In this sense, the discovery of two late eighteenth-century drawings and the reconstruction of a three-dimensional model seem to lay the foundations for a new and deeper investigation.
