The experience of flow during participation in collective gatherings amplifies through social interaction and social sharing of emotions. The main objective in the present research was analyze how the experience of shared flow generated during participation in collective gatherings is related to positive affect, transcendence emotions, and subjective well-being. Method. We present two studies where participants reported their experience of shared flow scale is applied, using a 27 items grouped in nine dimensions. First study was longitudinal and included a sample 550 participants in an annual folk festival, and second study was transversal and correlational with paired samples of 180 university students participating in of leisure collective activities from the Basque Country (Spain) and Sinaloa (Mexico). Results. There were positive and significant correlations between shared flow and positive and transcendent emotions experienced during participation in collective gatherings and rituals, and a positive relationship with subjective well-being. Scale Psychometrics characteristics and descriptive statistics for two cultural context (Spain and Mexico) were reported. To evaluate participation in various kinds of collective gatherings and rituals a shared flow scale was proposed.
