Abstract
In Italy, the '70s, characterized by economic boom, are affected by large projects of dislocation. The hypothesis of city-territory shifts its scope from total urban planning to the identification of nodal points that give rise and application to large-scale projects. To date, the increasingly marked division between architecture and town planning, reasoning on such great works seems to have ceased. In its analysis the question of large-scale buildings assumes two fundamental categories: the measure and the proportion. Quatremere de Quincy's definition of the large in his dictionary, in fact, distinguishes the large project from that "grandiose" as it derives from the relationship between the parts. By incorporating the proportional parameter in the reading of some works, the paper aims to outline the characteristics of grandeur architecture which is the protagonist of the categories of proportions and measure. After redefining the meaning of scale from the Modern Movement and replacing the module of object with the Module of Measure, can we still talk about measure today? The paper aims to explore this question by using the mentioned categories, linking them to each other, verifying the construction in reality from the technical and technological point of view. The goal is to outline the line for an architecture of "commisuration" that has as its purpose the measurement of real need from the point of view of technique and duration.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
