The paper reports a measurement campaign and a simulation validation for the 'Roma-Giardinetti' tram line in Rome, that provides urban service from the main train station of Rome 'Roma Termini' towards a suburban neighborhood of the city. A digital oscilloscope recorder Yokogawa OR100 has been used for the measurements. A monitoring on voltage and current profiles along the line, as well as on power consumptions of the tramline during the daily service, has been performed. Simulations have been carried out to compare the obtained results with measurements, in order to highlight differences. Driving style management has been applied in train performance to quantify the energy used with or without the coasting phase. Simulation results show differences between simulated and measured power and energy consumptions, due to two types of braking phase.

Abstract
Simulation results show differences between simulated and measured power and energy consumptions, due to two types of braking phase.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
