A review of the literature published in 2005 on textiles wastewater treatment and reuse is presented. This review starts with the characterization of some commercial dyes for their contamination and ecotoxicological effects. Then, different alternative technologies employed for textile wastewater treatment and/or reuse are presented grouped into physico-chemical, biological and combined processes.
