Through the analysis of two case studies – such as the impact on local growth of the Australian indigenous visual art and of the music in Senegal -, and analysing the most recent literature on cultural and creative industries and development, this works aims, in the end, to outline the most relevant features and to point out a transferrable model to be applied to diverse geographic, sectorial contexts in order to promote the role of both tangible and intangible cultural aspects as driving forces to local development.
