The Questionnaire on the stressors at work classified by R. Kalimo (role, intrinsic stressors, interpersonal problems, within organization, career, social context) was applied to ambulance personnel (130 subjects). The scores of the Questionnaire, compiled by 106 subjects (44 nurses, 26 auxiliary workers, 28 drivers, 8 physicians), showed occupational stress in 33,85% of the cases (50% of nurses and physicians, 28,57% of the drivers and 23,07% of the auxiliary workers), above all in the nurses with age of 31-40 years (18,18%) and employment duration of 6-10 years (13,64%) with reference to career, in the physicians with age of 41-50 years (50%) and employment duration ? 5 years (50%) with reference to the intrinsic stressors and the interpersonal problems, in the drivers with age of 51-60 years (14,28%) and employment duration > 25 years (14,28%) with reference to the role, to the interpersonal problems and social context, in the auxiliary workers with age of 21-30, 41-50 and 51-60 years in equal percentage (7,69%) and employment duration ?. 5, 21-25 and > 25 years in equal percentage (7,69%) with reference to the role. The data suggest the necessity to optimize the organization and the prevention in all ambulance employees.
