42 workers employed in processing coffee were submitted to lung function tests by dynamic spirometry to investigate any respiratory imparment. Alterations were found in 21,42% of the subjects, which were primarily obstructive and correlated the smoking habits (Kalacic index included between 210 and 500), but not with sympthoms of allergy.
