ENEA is leading a research project which aim is to develop a Smart Homes Network System for the Housing Consumption Management connected with Central Aggregator able to collect data from domestic sensors and multiservice smart meters to: - elaborate/provide to citizens/distributors info on energy; - provide additional services as Assisted Living or innovative ones. Based on previous experience this paper will investigate the potential of Smart Home Network as a booster for housing science, particularly Smart Social Housing. It is known that Social Housing, in addition to being a solution to ensure housing for the entire population and the dignity for everyone, represents an advantage for the whole community; it is a way to improve social integration and cohesion. The paper will investigate how ENEA Smart Home Network System will support a community of residents in Social Housing to enhance the social sphere for residents, neighbourhoods and the city itself. The paper investigate an innovative housing model solution which will integrate Smart Home Network as a booster of services that will be provide to: - personal services as direct services to improve psychic, physical and social conditions provided by qualified staff outside the building; - personal services as direct services to improve psychic, physical and social conditions provided by qualified/non qualified staff within the building; - personal services where end-users contribute to create the service itself.
