Genesi 4 nel Commento di Origene alla lettera ai Romani

The article presents the interpretation given by Origen, in his CRm, of the texts of the Epistle to the Romans in wich Paul refers to the passages from the Book of Genesis (Rm 4; Rm 5,12-21; Rm 9). Then, it focuses on considering the passages of the Commentary where Origen mentions the figure and the story of Cain narrated in Gen 4,1-11, often putting it in relationship with Adam (CRm I 15,76), Abel (CRm V 5,411) and Noah (CMtS 57). By means of the comparison with the Greek excerpts from the original commentary and other works of Origen, what emerges is Origen’s constant application of hermeneutical procedure in the interpreting the Scripture with the Scripture based on a rigorous philological analisys; the Origen’s reception of the considerations already espressed by Philo but proposed again in the light of the text of Paul (Gen. 4,2-Rm. 4,4 in CRm IV 1,278); controversial setting, anti-gnostic; the necessity of assuring the non-contradictory nature of the Scripture

L’articolo presenta l’interpretazione che Origene dà, nel suo CRm, delle pericopi della Lettera ai Romani in cui l’Apostolo rinvia a passi della Genesi (Rm 4; Rm 5,12-21; Rm 9). Si sofferma poi ad esaminare i brani del Commentario dove l’Alessandrino richiama la figura e la vicenda di Caino narrata in Gen 4,1-11, spesso mettendola in rapporto con Adamo (CRm I 15,76), con Abele (CRm V 5,411) e Noè (CMtS 57 . Mediante il confronto con l’originale greco del CRm e altre opere dell’Alessandrino, emerge la costante applicazione da parte di Origene del procedimento ermeneutico di interpretare la Scrittura con la Scrittura sulla base di una rigorosa analisi filologica; la ripresa di considerazioni già espresse da Filone ma riformulate alla luce del testo di Paolo (Gen. 4,2-Rm. 4,4 in CRm IV 1,278); lo sfondo polemico, antignostico; la necessità di garantire la non-contraddittorietà del testo sacro.
