Abstract

Nanoparticle production grow in interest for pharmaceutical and cosmetic application by year. The need to produce pure, high quality nanoparticles is mandatory for these industries. The requirement of reliable equipment capable to produce these nanoparticles in a cheap, easy and continuous way is therefore very strong. In this paper, the spinning disk reactor as a possible equipment to produce nanoparticles within the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry framework is presented. The technology is very simple to use, yet capable to give high yield of pure nanoparticles, at controlled particle size and with a very narrow particle size distribution.
