Il fondo "Gestione speciale IMI-Autarchia economica nazionale"

IMI’s Historical Archive preserves records of various types of loans offered to the Italian industry. Among these there are many regarding the management of “special loans on behalf of the State”, the first of which was destined to funding companies that produced autarkic products. The article describes the structure of the archival fonds «IMI’s special management of national autarky», analyzing the contents and recommending search paths through both archival and historical documentation of the fonds, besides the many complementary sources within the Archive. Within the archival fonds considerable importance is represented by the series «Special management of national autarky loans», while among the complementary sources there is the series regarding ordinary loans where the documentation continued after the fall of fascism.

L’Archivio storico dell’IMI conserva la documentazione di vari tipi di finanziamento per l’industria italiana: tra questi molteplici sono le “gestioni speciali per conto dello Stato”, la prima delle quali fu destinata ai finanziamenti delle aziende che fabbricavano prodotti autarchici. L’articolo descrive la struttura del fondo archivistico «IMI Gestione speciale autarchia nazionale», analizzandone i contenuti e consigliando percorsi di ricerca archivistici e storici sia attraverso la documentazione del fondo stesso sia grazie alle molteplici fonti complementari presenti all’interno dell’archivio. Tra la documentazione propria del fondo notevole importanza riveste la serie «Mutui gestione speciale autarchia economica nazionale», mentre tra le fonti complementari si evidenzia la serie «Mutui gestione ordinaria», in cui confluirono le ‘pratiche autarchia’ dopo la caduta del fascismo.
