Welcome to the website of the ADISTA17 International Workshop that took place in Rome, Italy, from 8-9 June 2017. ADISTA17 was the second in a series of triennial workshops addressing Advances in Directional Statistics, the first of which took place in Brussels in May 2014. As for ADISTA14, the main objectives of the workshop were to stimulate research in Directional Statistics, bring together researchers in the field to share their latest results, identify interesting new problems and applications, and foster dialogue and future research collaborations. The workshop consisted of 28 twenty-minute invited talks and 18 posters presented during poster-viewing and poster-storming sessions.
