The title of the dissertation for the postgraduate specialization in Medieval Archeology at the University ‘La Sapienza’ in Rome, Italy (2010-2011) was “Chiese paleocristiane del suburbio romano ‘più estremo’, caratteri e funzioni” Thanks to a research conducted during the drafting of this dissertation, important new elements about not well-known churches emerged. In this document the most relevant new aspects relating to the church of S. Gennaro in Prenestina Street and the church dedicated to Saints Nicandro, Eleuterio and Andrea in Labicana Street will be analyzed. A particular attention will be given to the latter. In fact, the valorization of literally and cartographic sources (not –properly- considered in previous studies) enabled the final definition of the topographic placement of the sanctuary.
