IN THIS FRAMEWORK, THE CORE OF THE PRESENTED MODEL IS A KNOWLEDGE BASE DEVELOPED THROUGH INFORMATION ONTOLOGIES AND ORIENTED AROUND THE FORMALIZATION AND COMPUTABILITY OF ALL THE KNOWLEDGE NECESSARY FOR THE FULL COMPREHENSION OF THE OBJECT OF ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE AND ITS CONSERVATION. SUCH A KNOWLEDGE REPRESENTATION IS DEVELOPED UPON CONCEPTUAL CATEGORIES DEFINED ABOVE ALL WITHIN ARCHITECTURAL AND CONSERVATION DISCIPLINES. THE PRESENT PAPER AIMS AT FURTHER EXTENDING THE SCOPE OF CONCEPTUAL MODELLING WITHIN CULTURAL HERITAGE CONSERVATION. A SPECIAL FOCUS IS ADDRESSED TO DECAY ANALYSIS AND SURFACES CONSERVATION PROJECT.

Abstract
THE PRESENTED PAPER IS A PIECE OF A WIDER RESEARCH THAT AIMS AT MERGING ICT INFORMATION AND COMUNICATION TECNOLOGY) POTENTIALITIES, AS STRICTNESS AND MANAGING ABILITY OF COMPLEX DATA SYSTEMS, WITH HUMANISTIC ISSUES THAT CHARACTERIZE ALL ACTIVITIES ADDRESSED TO CULTURAL HERITAGE.
