Abstract
The damages caused by the bombings of World War II on the urban area of the Italian capital city, focused especially on some suburban areas, above all along the railway yards like San Lorenzo district and on the public buildings. Damages are testified by the gaps and lacerations which are in many cases still visible, seventy years after the end of the war. The size of the destruction, which is difficult to estimate by an accurate census, involves necessarily examining the reconstruction and restoration needs, which in Rome often are resolved without clear strategies and well defined theoretical references.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
