How much the land take cost to the community? Does the value of a free soil increase only if it becomes a potential building area? LIFE SAM4CP project seeks to answer the first question, to undermine the assumption of the second and to provide an instrument helping land managers to make more informed and sustainable choices. A simulator has been designed as a tool for evaluating 7 ecosystem services (SE) provided by soil and for calculating impacts of new urban plans from both biophysical and economic terms. The instrument effectiveness was tested preparing a variation to the urban plan of the Municipality of Bruino.
