How much are they different from each other the profiles of a single vessel? How to choose and how to measure a profile which can be defined as standard? In the forge of the Laboratory of Piovego an experimental project was born that has addressed this issue by measuring multiple profiles of the same vessels. Dozens of statistical treatments show what to measure and how to treat the data to make informed choices of drawing and classification. It is our pleasure to present, as a tribute to Giovanni, this wriggle beyond the limits of the usual observations, strongly inspired by him.
